We ordered the CJB from a local dealership, 2 and some change. The port for the fuel pump connector has a bit of plastic in the guide, you can see it in pic #2 posted here. We assumed this was an updated part, or bad casting. We exchanged the old/new one for another new one, only to find the same casting issue.
It communicated to the cluster module when a door was opened. The cluster module lit a "door ajar" light in the cluster(if you had this feature) along with controlling a "battery saver" relay and also a "accessory delay" relay in the fuse box. Very quick job, used 5/16 drill bit.
